Product overview
EIKONAMARK is a software for casting "invisible" watermarks (signatures) on digital images and detecting these watermarks. Such a method can be used for copyright protection and "ownership" recognition of digital images. A copyright owner can cast its id_number as an "invisible" watermark (signature) on any digital image. Later on, he can examine whether a given image, which is suspected for being illegally copied, contains his own watermark (id_number) and use it as legal proof.
Copyright ownership proof for digital images could be performed by using id_numbers that identify the author (copyright owner) that can be casted on the digital image. Headers or footers cannot be applied for this purpose, since they can be easily removed. In case of suspicion of theft, exhaustive search of the original in the copyright owner's image databases is a cumbersome and costly task. EIKONAMARK transforms the copyright owner id_number in an ivisible watermark and casts it in the body of the image. The watermark can be easily detected by the copyright owner by using EIKONAMARK without any need to search in his/her digital image database. Thus he can have a proof of ownership in the case of theft.

Another enhanced feature of EIKONAMARK is the authentication check. EIKONAMARK can detect alterations that have been made in an image, by providing it the original and the tampered image. Then EIKONAMARK produces a new image showing the areas of the altered pixels.
