DIVA3D for Windows is an integrated, powerful and flexible software package for digital video processing and analysis. It is based on extensive libraries (DIVA3D Library & EIKONA3D library) of video processing and analysis algorithms. DIVA3D supports AVI File format IO and live camera video IO and processing.

The following video processing and analysis capabilities are supported:

    DIVA3D supports true 3D video processing in the spatiotemporal domain. Although it can be used for general video processing (e.g. in video production environments), it is primarily geared to scientific video processing. It can be used very easily for developing new video processing/analysis modules that can have real time camera support. DIVA3D is suitable for the following applications:

  • Video surveillance.
  • Motion/Velocity estimation
  • Traffic analysis
  • Scientific video analysis
  • Fluid dynamics

  • Video content analysis and description.

    The main DIVA3D window

    Finally it is a very good tool for teaching digital video processing. The DIVA3D package provides a suitable friendly and easy-to-use Graphical User Interface (GUI) that gives easy access to all library routines through a suitable menu structure. It guides the user to the selection of the suitable input/output parameters for each routine through carefully designed dialog boxes and it displays suitable error/result notification messages. DIVA3D GUI was developed for the Microsoft Windows environment and, thus, it has the look and feel of a usual Windows program. EIKONA3D Library and DIVA3D Library can be used as a stand-alone Application Program Interface (API) for the development of custom video processing applications for Windows platforms using the C programming language.

    DIVA3D modules are application extensions of DIVA3D and they help to extend the usability and the operations that can be performed by it. This flexible architecture of DIVA3D to load external modules,together with DIVA3D library API makes it easy for a third party software developer to extend the capabilities of the software. These modules are implemented as Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs). Thus, video processing and analysis applications can be developed in a matter of hours.
