Data Files
Anthropos7 documents (XML files) containing video metadata descriptions and video files are the basic input to our application. The video file and the corresponding to the Anthropos7 document must be imported/read in Anthropos7 editor fully utilize the GUI and visualize both the video and the overlaid Anthropos7 metadata description.
Anthropos7 Editor supports the XML format of the MPEG-7 ISO and all known video formats, if the user has the proper codec’s and Microsoft DirectX9 (or above) installed his/her your computer.
Files can be opened / closed through the file menu.
Property windows:
Property windows provide a user friendly and uniform way to handle property editing of metadata descriptions. Property windows are found in all Static Information Area tabs and in Timeline, Video, and Schema Settings. Fields are represented in a tree view form, making them categorizable, and easy to use, since each field presents a help string on the bottom of the property window.
Video Area:
The Video Area offers a video player with navigation buttons and an overlay of the Anthropos7 metadata that can be visualized.
ROI Overlays:
This is the way Anthropos7 Editor deals with Frame Region Content Description (e.g. facial region, body region). Every 2D region describing an actor, or parts of an actor’s body defined in the Anthropos7 file can be overlaid on the corresponding video frame as a Polygon or a Box and the user can modify their position, size and their properties. A ROI can be altered by moving a whole ROI or part of it, by adding and deleting edges or by adding and deleting whole ROIs, while the application automatically tracks all these changes and saves them in the corresponding Anthropos7 file.
In current version ROIs are retrieved only according to the Anthropos7 description of the Actor Instance. No user defined schemas are supported.
Apart from a drawn ROI, the name of the associated actor is also depicted on screen. This way, the end user can directly identify ROIs and actors and track possible face detection and tracking errors.
Timeline Area:
The Timeline Area provides a user friendly way to edit durations. The user is given the ability to group them according to their content into 'Objects'.
Static Information Area:
The static information area is located in the upper-right part of the application window and it is used to show and set static movie information, e.g. names of the actors which (Actor Info), movie description (Movie Info) or the properties of the content we interact with from the Video and Timeline Area, such as ROIs, Objects and Durations.
